NEWSLETTER FOR 2025

At the AGM Malcolm noted that it had been rather a quiet year with grants only going out to supportr Frank’s rib., i.e.Hayling rescue. However, shortly after this  meeting an application came in from the Thursday Club for funds of £450 for the RYA training of much needed instuctor.
Regarding the finances, there was an income of £1740   including gift aid and dividens and outgoings of £6,300. There is 10K left in available funds.
It was stressed that all trusttees had to be registed with a Companies House ID number to allow for the filing of accounts . Meanwhile, David had resigned as trusttee to HISC and would eventually resign from HISTT when a replacemnt HISC trusttee could be allocated, c/o the new Commodore.

Frank continues to be as useful as ever and was awarded several grants towards the maintenance of his rib.

TRAINING
None of the junor fleets applied for grants for winter training, which means that the 29er fleet was the last to have any funds from us.
Our past support really did have amazing effect as the fleet grew in size and there was usually a decent sized fleet to be seen out sailing. Several of the top crews went off to various championships and did rather well. However, some of them were getting a bit old and large for a 29er so they moved up to 49ers and continued to do rather well!
Even some of the girls swapped their 29ers for a 49er FX (seen here practicing) and went off round the world to open meetings .

SEA DEFENCES
One of our aims is to  help maintain the sea defences and this is  an ongoing problem especially along the causeway which is being battered by the increasing strong winds.

 WE NEED FUNDS!

HISTT remains a driving force behind the development, safety, and accessibility of sailing within the local community.
